Between January 25 and 26, 2018, the Moldovan Banks Association, in partnership with the Romanian Banking Institute, organized the training seminar on "Risk assessment and argumentation of the SME crediting decision".
The main objective of the seminar was to provide participants with detailed knowledge and skills to identify credit risks, to use elements of analysis of financial statements, cash flows, assets and liabilities, to calculate the financial burden and the most important to be able to formulate and express an opinion on the SME crediting decision.
The seminar was attended by 26 employees of the licensed banks - credit and risk analysts, financial analysts, bank auditors, SME managers, treasury staff, and others.
The moderator of the seminar was a banking consultant with about 25 years of experience in lending. Coordinates the credit risk analysis and management activity and credit approval process for SME clients within a bank in Romania.
We hope that the knowledge gained in the seminar will be exploited in practice by the seminar participants, which will help facilitate SME lending.

In accordance with the "Basel III Implementation Strategy in the Banking Sector of the Republic of Moldova in the Context of the European Legislation" (approved on April 7, 2016), the National Bank of Moldova continued in 2017 the reforms aimed at developing the legal framework in the field banking system and its adjustment to EU directives to ensure better bank governance and risk management processes, risk capital adequacy and liquidity risk assessment.
