Between 25 and 26 October 2018, the Moldovan Banks Association, in partnership with the Luxembourg House of Training, organized the training seminar on "The Compliance function as part of an effective corporate governance: overwiew, key principles and practical implementation", dedicated to the Boards members, Senior Executives Management, Chief Compliance Officers as well as Corporate Officers, including Law Professionals or any Professionals supporting and advising the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Management, which gathered 24 participants.

The main objective of the seminar was to defining the role and responsabilities of the Compliance function within the company in explaining how it could support the establishment of a proper and efficient corporate gvernance. The seminar was interactive combining lectures, case study and exchanges of views, benefiting from the Luxembourgish experience in the framework of the compliance international standard related to corporate governance.

The seminar was highly appreciated by the participants and responded to their expectations. At the end of the seminar, the participants shared their impressions of the knowledge they had gained, noting that the seminar was a very interesting, consistent, well-structured and useful one and the knowledge gained would be successfully applied in everyday practice.
